Supported by Verizon Wireless, The Samsung Reality is dedicated to middle end users who are looking for a smartphone that offers some enhanced features with an affordable price. The Reality is ready for .99 with a two years service agreement from Verizon Wireless.
With 4.23 inches x 2.09 inches x 0.65 inches, the Reality looks similar in shape and design with its predecessor, the Samsung Rogue but the Sch-U820 phone is a diminutive lighter at 4 ounces while the Rogue is 4.94 ounces. For the screen display, although it is not bad as the Reality is still supported with 262,000 colors with 240x400 pixel resolution, the Reality has only 3-inch Qwvga display compared with the Rogue's striking 3.1 inches Amoled.

The Samsung Reality has battery life that rated up to 5 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of stand by time. The Samsung Reality Main Features:
• TouchWiz interface. A collapsible tray on the left side of the homescreen that consists of any widgets and shortcuts such as communities widget (new on the Samsung phones) that provides easy access to some collective networks.
• Resistive touch screen. Although it is not as responsive as capacitive touch screen, still it allows to undoubtedly type texts and messages.
• 3.5-mm headset jack on the top
• A full Qwerty keyboard when you slide the phone to the right. More spacious and raised above the surface to give you great taste when typing or just writing messages.
• 1000-entry phone books with room in each entry to give more detailed profile.
• Evdo Rev 0 instead of Evdo Rev A. Fast enough to browse and download data from internet. You can download 1 Mb less than a half minute.
• 3.2 megapixel camera with 8 different resolution from 2,048 x 1536 pixels to 320 x 240 pixel.
Bottom line
For basic features, the Samsung Reality offers great carrying out like call ability that is excellent. The voices sound clear and natural. However, as a smartphone for middle end users, there are some features cut down compared with the Rogue like Evdo Rev 0 instead of Evdo Rev A.
